Our Story
Flint Hills Homestead Beef Company is a family-owned and operated ranch located in the heart of the Flint Hills of Kansas. What began as a new chapter for a blended family soon became a shared way of life centered around family, hard work, self-reliance, and a deep appreciation for the land.
After years of busy careers, travel, and raising children, ranch life offered the opportunity to slow down, stay closer to home, and build something meaningful together. Raising cattle, tending gardens, and producing their own food gave the family greater control over the quality of what they eat while creating a stronger connection to the land and the animals in their care.
Today, Flint Hills Homestead Beef Company raises premium Black Angus, Hereford, and Santa Gertrudis cross cattle that graze the native grasses of the Flint Hills. Their approach is hands-on and personal, with a strong focus on animal care, responsible pasture management, honesty, and producing quality beef without unnecessary hormones.
For the family, ranching is about much more than raising cattle. It is about knowing where their food comes from, caring for their animals with respect, protecting the land for the future, and providing other families with quality beef they can feel confident serving at their own table.

The Flint Hills of Kansas are home to some of the most productive native grasslands in the country, making them an ideal place to raise cattle. At Flint Hills Homestead Beef Company, our herd spends its days grazing the rolling hills and valleys surrounding our family ranch.
We raise Black Angus, Hereford, and Santa Gertrudis cross cattle with a focus on healthy animals, responsible pasture management, and hands-on care. Our cattle graze native grasses such as Bluestem and Brome, along with Fescue during the winter months, with additional nutrition provided when needed.
For us, quality beef begins long before processing day. It starts with healthy pastures, fresh water, careful animal management, and knowing our cattle personally. That connection allows us to provide beef raised with care, respect, and the same standards we want for our own family.
